Dylan Jebbia Richards' paintings are a symphony of rich colors and dense textures. Drip wax, pigments and resins are used in the creation process and randomness and gravity are allowed to dictate the direction in which they drip. Because of this, the artist seems to depict certain unexplored terrains, the wave-like shapes, colorful pigments and shimmering shimmers reminiscent of mountain ranges or colorful coral reefs. Beyond the sensory appeal is a reminder to the viewer of how the forces of nature shape our world.
