Inspired by geology and meteorology, Dylan Gebbia Richards' Floodlights is created using paraffin wax and a variety of vibrant pigments. The work, which spans three meters horizontally, creates an engaging environment in which viewers can immerse themselves in a synthetic world that is both familiar and alien; the artist creates a visual effect that is somewhere between an aerial photograph of a mountain range, a vast lava field, and an illusory dream world.
