In his short artistic career of twelve years, Marcel Brodeur has created an influential body of conceptual work that explores the meaning of art and speech and the relationship between text and image with seriousness and alertness. Marcel Brodeur often incorporates ordinary objects into his creations or appropriates themes and motifs from other artists, particularly Marcel Duchamp and René Magritte, two major influences on him.
