The Origin of Silk achieves structural integrity through the use of ultra-thin self-supporting components. This structure can provide support in the form of its own double-layer surface. In the whimsical and endless world created by MARC FORNES Studio, curves prevail over corners. Branch, split and recombination structures can be constructed without the use of longitudinal columns and beams. This "gridded" surface extends from the inside out to the whole itself, transforming into a space. The shape of this space subverts the traditional concepts of walls, entrances, exits and thresholds. The work bends in all directions, but still supports itself firmly.
