Light under the surface

Natalie Juno Ponsa

Natalie Juno Ponsa creates light installations that alter the density of space and disrupt the sense of marking in the usual sense. Through repeated experiments, her installations populate light positions with pure, saturated wavelengths, disrupting perception and evoking, among other sensations, an alteration in the physiology of perceived marking.

Natalie Juno Ponsa's light installations allow for the perception of space in new light configurations in a way that becomes a physically and aesthetically coexisting experience. The artist's light studies have led her to explore the effects of light on human biological systems, detecting the limits of perception and the effect that light has on people's mental faculties. The light installations she creates thus reveal the continuous impact of light on human beings and tell the story of how people cope with the current world.
