In 1988, he graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in figure. Now he is the head and professor of Chinese Painting Department and the director of Contemporary Ink Painting Art Research Center at the Academy of Fine Arts of East China Normal University. Painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. In 2014, he was nominated for the "aac Art China Influential Ink Artist of the Year" award. His works have been collected by the National Museum of China, the National Art Museum of China, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Zhejiang Art Museum, the European Headquarters of the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee, the Quirini Foundation Museum in Venice, and other domestic and international organizations.
