Born in Shanghai in 1959, he is a professor at the School of Art at Soochow University, a senior researcher in arts and crafts, and the Executive Vice President of the Suzhou Sculpture Association. He also serves as an Executive Director of the Jiangsu Sculptors Association, a member of its Art Committee, and is affiliated with the China Arts and Crafts Association and its Sculpture Committee, as well as the China Sculptors Association. Formerly the director of the Art Museum at Soochow University’s School of Art, he is now the director of the Suzhou Jiye Art Museum.
