Born in Nanjing in 1958, he entered the Chinese Painting Research Class at the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting in 1978. He is currently a national first-level artist at the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting and lives and works in Shijiazhuang. In 1982, he held a solo exhibition at Nanjing University of the Arts. In 1985, he organized and participated in the "Jiangsu Youth Art Week," and during the "85" art movement, he was recognized as one of the representative figures of the Ink Innovation School alongside Gu Wenda. His notable works, such as Dialogue Between Master and Apprentice and Mountain, have had a significant impact in the art world.
