Neon - Phantom

In many literary works and movies, "neon" has become a representative element of the cityscape of the future technological life, which contrasts with the natural and traditional elegance of life, as if there is an insurmountable gap between the traditional and the future. However, no matter where the modern city is headed, it always originates from the natural classics, and the classics and modernity nourish each other, and this is even more obvious in the atmosphere of the city of Suzhou, which has struck a valuable balance between natural scenery and urban landscape: people living here can enjoy the convenience of the modern city, but also swim in the poetic and pictorial water town of Gusu at any time, and this urban quality provides people with a more multi-layered way to reflect on the tradition. This urban quality provides an opportunity to contemplate the traditional ways of seeing on more than one level.

NI ART takes the opportunity of the Suzhou-Jinji Lake Biennale to invite six artists, Zheng Li, Zhang Xinquan, Chen Ronghui, Zhang Wenrong, Hu Weiyi, and Li Peixin, to present a concerto fantasia of contemporary art in Suzhou, using landscape as the clue and emotional expression as the final evocation of the relationship between the reality of the society and the ecology of the nature, and using painting, photography, video, and other forms of artistic expression. A set of contemporary art concerto fantasia. The flashing neon lights in the city and the quiet landscape in the gardens echo each other, making Suzhou an oriental fantasyland in the south of the Yangtze River, a neon peach blossom paradise, pointing directly to the future.
